Kirk & Kim's Wedding Day.

What can I say about this wedding? First, let’s flashback to 11 years ago when Kim and I graduated from good ol’ Berlin High School and became part of the class of 2003. Like everyone, we all went our separate ways after high school. For me personally, photography was just coming up on the horizon for me. I didn't have a single clue about the subject, nor how to properly use a camera. Quickly though, I developed a passion for photography, but without the slightest idea of where it would take me. Fast forward to earlier this year, when Kim and I sat down for the first time since high school. This was to confirm that I would be the photographer for her wedding. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised, and rather optimistic, on how our paths had crossed again.

Now, back to the present time of Kirk and Kim’s wedding day. Being early September, you would think autumn would be in the air, with the days becoming cooler and more crisp. Nope. Summer decided to rear its head back into the picture. The temperatures were hot. The humidity was up. Showers and thunderstorms were all over the area. All of this happening, but none of it bringing down the spirit of the day. Kirk and Kim were awesome to be around with all day. Both of their families and friends were the same as well.

The day first started at their house with the groom and his side getting ready. The bride and her party got ready at Avon Old Farms Hotel, in Avon, Connecticut. Both parties finally meeting up across the street for the ceremony and reception held at the Belle Terrace at Avon Old Farms. What a beautiful, charming, and historic building. Plenty of 18th century charm tucked away in each of the many rooms that make up Belle Terrace.

Kirk and Kim. Thank you. Good luck and best wishes with your future together.
