John & Katrina's Wedding Day.

Hello everyone, and a happy new year to you all! Hope you had a great 2018 and are ready to take on 2019. We know we certainly are! Hard to believe another year has passed. Time just doesn’t want to hold still. We’re excited to share with you all our last wedding of 2018, or first wedding of 2019 (depending on how you want to look at it)!

This wedding we are talking about is John and Katrina’s. A wonderful, sweet, and outgoing couple who contacted us about shooting their new years style wedding. Just when we thought we were done for the year, they reached out and we were more than happy to oblige. Never being part of such a celebration before, we knew it would be an awesome opportunity to ring in the new year with friends and family gathering around to celebrate the love between John and Katrina.

The whole event took place at the Pavilion on Crystal Lake in Middletown, Connecticut. Given the time of year, we had in our minds the possibility of snow and rain. But the weather decided to hold off until later in the evening, giving us a chance to utilize the grounds for John and Katrina’s first look. A unique moment between the two as they silently read each other’s vows before turning to see each other for the first time. The rest of the evenings festivities took place inside the pavilion, which featured some spectacular lighting. A prayer before the ceremony was a touching and intimate moment with their parents as well. The reception and dancing were as expected with two large groups of family and friends who were there to have some fun and bring in the new year with John and Katrina. The night was capped off by a countdown to midnight with a balloon drop.

We couldn’t have expected a better way to bring in the new year ourselves. Celebrating with John and Katrina, and being along for their day was extra special to us. They were both super kind and welcoming, and we wish them all the best in their new lives together.

Thank you, and again, happy new year!
